What to see

Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Signoria

 Piazza del Duomo is the heart of Florence. Here stands the magnificent Cathedral, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with the famous dome by Brunelleschi, the Baptistery with the bronze Gates of Paradise and Giotto's bell tower, from which you can enjoy incredible views of the city.

Also in Via Calzaiuoli you will find the beautiful Piazza della Signoria has been for centuries the center of the political life of Florence. 
Here is the imposing Palazzo Vecchio, now the ordinary citizen and museum. To the right of Palazzo Vecchio you can admire the charming Loggia dei Lanzi, where some famous statues, such as Benvenuto Cellini's Perseus are located. In Piazza della Signoria is the Fountain of Neptune by Ammannati and the equestrian statue of Cosimo I by Giambologna. Along the way, on Via Calzaiuoli, you will recognize the Church of Orsanimichele, the architectural structure and statues adorning its façade, works of great artists such as Donatello, Ghiberti and Verrocchio.

The Uffizi Gallery

A few steps from Palazzo Vecchio you will find the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most visited Italian museums and popular, known for extensive collection of Renaissance works such as the Allegory of Spring and the Birth of Venus by Botticelli, to name just two of the most famous masterpieces.
How not to be fascinating to such beauty! It remains open mouth in front of the wonderful architecture of the hotel overlooking directly over Florence. The works contained are among the most important in the world and in Italy, and you are amazed by the sheer size of the same. Its rooms are entirely decorated with grotesque, ancient statues and portraits and you will be astonished by how much art surrounds the visitor. Qualified and kind. On the top there is also a bar with a panoramic terrace. I recommend it to all who want to know a great piece of Italian history. The museum is a must for anyone visiting Florence!

Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens

The Ponte Vecchio is one of the symbols of Florence, halfway between the Uffizi Gallery and Palazzo Vecchio (joined by the beautiful Vasari Corridor which passes right over the heads of tourists overlooking the Bridge).
Crossing the Ponte Vecchio, while admiring the spectacular windows of jewelers, reach the Oltrarno area and, first, the Pitti Palace where there are several museums, including cuila Palatine Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art and the Boboli Gardens.

If the Boboli gardens have not tired you too much, head to the nearby Piazza Santo Spirito and the Church of the Holy Spirit. Built by Brunelleschi, the church overlooking the square, standing out for the yellow façade, it hides inside of really precious treasures. Around you will find restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy excellent Tuscan dishes and wines, and enjoy a little 'relaxation.

If you want to enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the city at sunset, head to Piazzale Michelangelo, located on the first hill after the Oltrarno. From here you can see from far away places that you have visited in the historic center of Florence!
superb views of the city and panoramic photos postcard. There is a parking fee for cars (1 € for 1 hour) or there is a bus stop. The square is also full of stalls with tourist objects or cool drinks.

Firenze e il suo immenso patrimonio culturale

Firenze è indiscutibilmente la città toscana più famosa nel mondo. Ogni anno milioni di persone arrivano nella “culla del Rinascimento”, visitano i principali musei della città, passeggiano per le sue strade ammirandone monumenti, chiese, palazzi e luoghi di interesse. Firenze ha davvero tanto da offrire.

Cosa vedere

Piazza del Duomo e Piazza della Signoria

Piazza del Duomo è il cuore di Firenze. Qui troneggia il magnifico Duomo, la Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, con la famosa cupola del Brunelleschi, il Battistero con la bronzea Porta del Paradiso ed il Campanile di Giotto, dal quale potrete godere di un’incredibile vista sulla città.

Sempre in via  Calzaiuoli troverete la bellissima Piazza della Signoria è stata per secoli al centro della vita politica di Firenze. 
Qui si trova l’imponente Palazzo Vecchio, sede attuale del comune cittadino e museo. Alla destra di Palazzo Vecchio  potete ammirare l’affascinante Loggia dei Lanzi, dove sono collocate alcune statue famose, come il Perseo di Benvenuto Cellini. In Piazza della Signoria si trova la Fontana del Nettuno di Ammannati ed il monumento equestre di Cosimo I del Giambologna. Lungo il percorso, in via Calzaiuoli, riconoscerete la Chiesa di Orsanimichele, dalla particolare struttura architettonica e le statue che adornano la sua facciata, opere di grandi artisti come Donatello, Ghiberti e Verrocchio.

La Galleria degli Uffizi

A pochi passi da Palazzo Vecchio troverete la Galleria degli Uffizi, uno dei musei italiani più visitati e conosciuti, noto per la vasta collezione di opere del Rinascimento, come l’Allegoria della Primavera e la Nascita di Venere del Botticelli, solo per citare due dei capolavori più famosi.
Si rimane a bocca aperta davanti alla meravigliosa architettura della struttura affacciata direttamente su tutta Firenze. Le opere contenute sono tra le più importanti del mondo e d'Italia e si rimane affascinati dalla quantità numerica delle medesime. Le sue sale sono interamente decorate da grottesche, statue antiche e ritratti e si rimane stupiti da quanta arte circondi il visitatore. Personale qualificato e gentile. Sulla sommità è presente anche un bar con terrazza panoramica. Lo consiglio a tutti quelli che vogliono conoscere un grande pezzo di storia italiana.
Come non rimanere affascinanti da tale bellezza! Il museo è una tappa obbligatoria per chi visita Firenze!



Ponte Vecchio, il Palazzo Pitti ed il Giardino di Boboli

Il Ponte Vecchio è uno dei simboli di Firenze, a metà strada tra la Galleria degli Uffizi e Palazzo Vecchio (uniti dal stupendo Corridoio Vasariano che passa proprio sopra le teste dei turisti affacciati sul Ponte).

Attraversando il Ponte Vecchio, mentre ammirerete le spettacolari vetrine dei gioiellieri, raggiungete l’area dell’Oltrarno e, per primo, Palazzo Pitti dove si trovano diversi musei, tra cuila Galleria Palatina, la Galleria dell’Arte Moderna e il Giardino di Boboli.

Se i giardini di Boboli non vi hanno stancato troppo, dirigetevi verso la vicina Piazza Santo Spirito e la Chiesa di Santo Spirito. Costruita dal Brunelleschi, la Chiesa si affaccia sull’omonima piazza, spiccando per il giallo della facciata, ma nasconde al suo interno dei tesori davvero preziosi. Intorno troverete ristoranti e cafè dove gustare eccellenti piatti e vini toscani, godendovi un po’ di relax.

Panorama su Firenze

Se volete godere di un’incredibile vista panoramica della città al tramonto, recatevi al Piazzale Michelangelo, situata sulla prima collina dopo l’Oltrarno. Da qui potrete vedere da lontano i luoghi che avete visitato nel centro storico di Firenze!
Vista superba sulla città e foto panoramiche da cartolina. Esiste un parcheggio a pagamento per le autovetture (1€ per 1 ora) o c'è la fermata dell'autobus. La piazza inoltre è piena di baracchini con oggetti turistici o bevande fresche.
