OUDE HAVEN NEIGHBORHOOD OF AND CUBIC HOUSES

If you have been thinking of making a trip to Holland, one of the reasons to visit Rotterdam is the high number of modern buildings and super revolutionaries from an architectural point of view. Examples are the very special "Cubic Houses" (Kijk-Kubus) designed by Dutchman Piet Blom in the seventies and today one of
Main attractions of the city. Houses in the form of a cube, but reversed, a little 'upside down, which can be visited and which is a must shoot from every possible angle and special. SPIDO - ERASMUS BRIDGE

MARKTHAL

The first covered market in the Netherlands was inaugurated October 1, 2014 and is one of the projects on which Rotterdam tip lot for tourism (there are from 4.5 to 7 million visitors each year). LUCHTSINGEL BRIDGE

Inspired by the famous High Line in New York City, this all yellow bridge over Rotterdam is one of the most beautiful walks to do in the city. Of course you'll get great photos for your memory albums. It was built by the citizens of Rotterdam, on the basis of an urban regeneration project, which has effectively combined two parts of the city before not as well connected.
Entirely of wood, it was built with private contributions from 25 to 1,250 Euros. The donors' names appear on the individual pieces that make up the bridge. Hilarious!

Fotomuseum

There had already spoken, and with good reason! The Fotomuseum is one of the most beautiful museums of photography in the world, and the largest of the Netherlands. Is located within walking distance dall'Erasmus bridge, the river Meuse, and is one of the must see museums in Rotterdam. The exhibits are spread over several floors and on the lower floor you can trace the history of photography in an interactive way. The staff is friendly and will help you in choosing a souvenir to take home. The shop is well stocked and between photography books, prints and various gadgets, you're spoiled for choice!

Rotterdam - Paesi bassi

Rotterdam è una città brulicante e slanciata grazie ai tanti, altissimi grattacieli, un’esplosione di energia, un concentrato di architettura moderna e talvolta curiosa . Non perdetevi per nessuna ragione al mondo la salita sull’Euromast, da cui si gode di un’incantevole vista della città da 100 metri d’altezza. 

Cosa vedere

QUARTIERE DI OUDE HAVEN E CASE CUBICHE

Se avete pensato di fare un viaggio in Olanda, uno dei motivi per visitare Rotterdam è l’alto numero di edifici modernissimi e super rivoluzionari da un punto di vista architettonico. Ne sono esempio le particolarissime “case cubiche” (Kijk-Kubus) progettate dall’olandese Piet Blom negli anni settanta e oggi una delle
attrazioni principali della città. Case a forma di cubo, ma rovesciate, un po’ sottosopra, che è possibile visitare e che è d’obbligo fotografare da ogni possibile e speciale angolazione. Si tratta di case realmente abitate, e un museo ve ne illustrerà la storia e le caratteristiche. Si trovano nel quartiere di Oude Haven (porto antico), proprio di fronte all’uscita del Markthal. Imperdibile!

SPIDO – ERASMUS BRIDGE

Non potete perdere un giro in barca per ammirarae la skyline della città e la possibilità di passare sotto il bellissimo ponte di Erasmo. È proprio ai piedi dell’Erasmusburg che lo Spido, un battello modernissimo, lascia ogni giorno il porto e salpa per un tour tra i canali alla scoperta dei bellissimi edifici di Rotterdam, dei grattacieli di Rem Koolhass, Renzo Piano e Álvaro Siza, e del porto grandioso. 75 minuti la durata del tour completo, con audioguide a bordo in inglese e in molte altre lingue. Se volete sbirciare tra i palazzi più moderni della città, vedere il De Rotterdam, passare davanti all’Hotel New York e fotografare il ponte da un’angolazione magnifica, salite a bordo!





MARKTHAL

Il primo mercato coperto d’Olanda è stato inaugurato il 1 ottobre 2014 ed è uno dei progetti su cui Rotterdam punta tantissimo a livello turistico (sono previsti dai 4,5 ai 7 milioni di visitatori ogni anno). Si trova vicino alla stazione Blaak e a pochi passi dalla piazza dove si tiene ogni settimana un bellissimo mercato a cielo aperto di frutta a e verdura. Il grande complesso che lo ospita è stato progettato dall’agenzia di architetti e designer MVRDV, si struttura su 11 piani e arriverà ad accogliere circa 100 banchi e fino a 228 appartamenti. 
L’entrata a volta, di vetro e acciaio, è solo il preludio a un mondo coloratissimo, che vi accoglierà non appena varcata la soglia. Piccoli chioschi di prodotti tipici, ma anche formaggi, frutta secca e candidi dall’oriente, torte deliziose, proposte per vegani, vini e ogni piccola delizia culinaria riusciate anche solo a immaginare, potrete acquistarla qui. Fate un salto, non ve ne pentirete.

LUCHTSINGEL BRIDGE

Ispirato alla famosissima High Line di New York, questo ponte tutto giallo sopra Rotterdam è una delle passeggiate più belle da fare in città. Di certo ne ricaverete foto bellissime per il vostro album ricordo. È stato realizzato dai cittadini di Rotterdam, in base a un progetto di riqualificazione urbana, che ha di fatto unito due parti della città prima non così ben collegate. 
Completamente in legno, è stato costruito con contributi privati dai 25 ai 1.250 euro. I nomi dei donatori compaiono sui singoli tasselli che costituiscono il ponte. Divertentissimo!

FOTOMUSEUM

Ve ne avevamo già parlato, e a ragione! Il Fotomuseum è uno dei musei di fotografia più belli del mondo, e il più grande dei Paesi Bassi. Si trova a pochi passi dall’Erasmus bridge, sul fiume Mosa, ed è uno dei musei assolutamente da vedere a Rotterdam. Le mostre sono distribuite su più piani e nel piano inferiore potrete ripercorrere la storia della fotografia in modo interattivo. Il personale è gentilissimo e vi aiuterà nella scelta di un souvenir da portare a casa. Lo shop è fornitissimo e tra libri di fotografia, stampe e gadgets vari, avrete solo l’imbarazzo della scelta!
