Plitvice National Park
The most beautiful natural park in Croatia from dozens of blue lakes, forests, caves and waterfalls: a must! If you love nature this is the place for you!
Magnificent hills covered with forests and interspersed with charming blue lakes connected by spectacular waterfalls, declared Unesco Heritage for their incredible beauty.
It will open in front of a dreamlike landscape where you can immerse yourself using the wooden walkways that follow the profile of lakes and streams walking right over, under and through the rugged mass of water along a spectacular route along less than 18 km, also walkable in bici. This incredible reservoir is
divided into two zones, an upper, with Dolomite lakes connected by imposing immense waterfalls and surrounded by dense forests and a lower, with smaller bodies of water and shallower. All lakes are divided by rock barriers that are covered with mosses and algae which in turn absorb the calcium bicarbonate water s'incrostandosi and forming travertine walls that create the falls.
This process is constantly evolving and changing and creates different combinations over time even the landscape. Even the color of the lakes is absolutely amazing: the dream-blue shades constantly changes depending not only in daylight but also to the amount of minerals and organisms in the water. All this is enhanced by a magnificent vegetation, dense and characterized by endless green tones: white pine, spruce, hornbeam, rowan and ash trees in autumn offer an explosion of colors!
What to see
Lake Kozjak is the largest area of the park where you can also rent paddle boats for a romantic excursion and reach the islet in the middle of the lake. Do not miss the path, past the eastern side will take you to the lower lakes, surrounded by forests, waterfalls and caves.
Lake Milanovac has a wonderful green hue and precedes the Lake Gavanovac hiding Supljara cave. Along the romantic footbridge that crosses the body of water will arrive at Lake Kaluderovac and two impressive waterfalls: the waterfall Veliki Slap is a good 78 meters high, the largest in Croatia!
In the reeds surrounding Lake Gradinsko nesting ducks and some waterfalls connecting it to Lake Galovac as a prelude to a series of lakes and waterfalls. Continuing we meet the Okrugljak Lake, Lake and Lake Ciginovac Proscansko nestled in the woods.
Besides being a paradise of plants and lakes you can spot many animals: wolves, deer, wild boars, hares, foxes, badgers, bears, hawks, owls, herons and storks!
Parco Nazionale di Plitvice

Vi si aprirà davanti un paesaggio da sogno in cui potrete immergervi utilizzando le passerelle di legno che seguono il profilo dei laghi e dei torrenti camminando proprio sopra, sotto e attraverso la selvaggia massa d’acqua seguendo uno spettacolare itinerario lungo ben 18 km, percorribile anche in bici.Questo incredibile bacino idrico si divide in due zone, una superiore, con laghi dolomitici imponenti collegati da immense cascate e circondati da fitte foreste e una inferiore, con specchi d’acqua più piccoli e meno profondi.
Tutti laghi sono divisi da barriere di roccia che si ricoprono di muschi e alghe che a loro volta assorbono il bicarbonato di calcio dell’acqua s’incrostandosi e formando pareti di travertino che creano le cascate. Questo processo è in continua evoluzione e e crea combinazioni sempre diverse modificando nel tempo anche il paesaggio.
Anche il colore dei laghi è assolutamente incredibile: l’azzurro onirico cambia continuamente sfumature in base non solo alla luce del giorno ma anche alla quantità di minerali e organismi all’interno dell’acqua. Tutto questo è arricchito poi da una magnifica vegetazione, fitta e caratterizzata da infiniti toni di verde: pini bianchi, abeti rossi, carpini, sorbi e frassini che in autunno regalano un’esplosione di colori!
Cosa vedere
Il Lago Kozjak è il bacino più grande del parco dove si possono anche noleggiare barche a remi per una romantica escursione e per raggiungere l’isoletta al centro del lago. Da non perdere il sentiero che costeggiando la sponda orientale vi porterà ai laghi inferiori, fra boschi, cascate e grotte.
Il Lago Milanovac ha una meravigliosa tonalità verde e precede il Lago Gavanovac che nasconde la caverna Supljara.
Percorrendo la romantica passerella che attraversa lo specchio d’acqua arriverete al Lago Kaluderovac e a due imponenti cascate: la cascata Veliki Slap è alta ben 78 metri, la più grande della Croazia!
Nei canneti che circondano il Lago Gradinsko nidificano le anatre e alcune cascate lo collegano al Lago Galovac che prelude a una successione di laghetti e cascatelle. Proseguendo s’incontra il Lago Okrugljak, il Lago Ciginovac e il Lago Proscansko immerso nei boschi. Oltre a essere il paradiso di piante e laghi si possono avvistare moltissimi animali: lupi, cervi, cinghiali, lepri, volpi, tassi, orsi, falchi, gufi, aironi e cicogne!

Conosciuto anche come Lago di Lemano, il Lago di Ginevra è il più grande specchio d’acqua della Svizzera. Attraversato da oriente a occidente dal fiume Rodano, e dal confine franco svizzero, il lago ha origine glaciale.
Dal paesaggio incantato, questa enorme distesa d’acqua dalla forma di mezzaluna in cui ben 3 cantoni svizzeri si affacciano sul Lago di Ginevra, il Canton Vallese, il Cantone di Ginevra e il Vaud, e numerose città sono bagnate dalle sue acque: Ginevra e Losanna sono le più importanti. Ideale per romantiche crociere, il Lago di Lemano è circondato in parte dai vigneti terrazzati del Lavaux e La Côte mentre le maestose Alpi dominano il panorama.
Yvoire è una delle perle del Lago di Ginevra: questo borgo medievale si trova sulla sponda francese ma le sue fortificazioni del XIV secolo meritano una visita. Sul lago si trovano inoltre l’isolotto del Castello di Chillon, e gli scogli di Peilz, Salagnon e di La Harpe.

Il lago offre una grande varietà di attività: oltre al noleggio di pedalò, kayak, barche a remi e motore è possibile praticare lo sci nautico, wakeboard, canottaggio, windsurf e vela. Per coloro che preferiscono rilassarsi al sole, a disposizione una cinquantina di spiagge più o meno organizzate.
Ginevra
Ginevra è una delle più affascinanti città europee. Quartiere generale delle Nazioni Unite, essa è nota anche perchè ospita l’annuale salone auto ("salone di Ginevra").
COSA VEDERE
Il "Jet d'eau" è il monumento più famoso della città ed anche la fontana più alta del mondo. Il centro storico di Ginevra è letteralmente una passeggiata nel ricco passato della città, allietata dalla presenza di oltre trenta gallerie e musei, tra i quali citiamo il Museo d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (MAMCO) e il Museo Internazionale della Croce Rossa.
Agli amanti del relax consiglio una crociera sul lago o una passeggiata nei parchi, oasi verdi che si affacciano sulle sue rive.
Non deve di certo mancare una visita alla famosa "via del mercato": il classico orologio svizzero come souvenir o le mille altre vetrine da scoprire, Ginevra offre opportunità per tutti, così come hotel e alberghi dal rinomato servizio e situati nei pressi delle attrazioni principali della città.

Hofburg Palace

The Prater

Hofburg Palace
Ecco a voi uno dei palazzi più grandiosi di Vienna, non a caso è proprio quello imperiale, fra le cui mura si sono intrecciate le storie altalenanti della famiglia degli Asburgo.
La visita a quella che è stata la residenza invernale della famiglia imperiale conduce alla scoperta delle 18 sale degli Appartamenti Reali, ovvero gli ex appartamenti privati di Francesco Giuseppe e di Elisabetta in gran parte con gli arredi originali; del Museo delle Argenterie di Corte con i suoi sontuosi servizi da tavola, le preziose raccolte di porcellane orientali, di Sèvres e di Meissen, le stoviglie d’argento massiccio; del Museo dedicato a Sissi che attraverso numerosi oggetti personali (abiti, gioielli, ritratti) racconta la storia della imperatrice d’Austria, una delle donne più belle e discusse della sua epoca, dalla gioventù in Baviera fino alla morte per mano di un anarchico italiano nel 1898.
Nell’interno della Hofburg (ingresso dal cortile degli Svizzeri), si trova la Schatzkammer, ovvero la Camera del Tesoro Imperiale che raccoglie il tesoro sacro e profano degli Asburgo. Il Museo custodisce oggetti di inestimabile valore.
Duomo di Santo Stefano
La cattedrale di Santo Stefano è un opera di alta ingegneria gotica. Dall'alto del suo campanile si può ammirare la splendida Vienna!. Il tetto è costituito da tegole decorate e colorate in 4 tonalità verde bianco ocra e grigio lavagna. Incredibile la minuziosa precisione delle decorazioni interne dal pulpito alle balaustre finemente cesellate. La visita completa si può effettuare terminata la messa.
Prima è possibile visitare il campanile l'unico a pagamento ( bambini gratis) e una volta saliti è possibile come ricordo stamparsi al prezzo di 1 € una medaglia con l'immagine della Cattedrale.
Museo di Storia dell'Arte
Il museo, oltre ad essere un capolavoro mozzafiato a livello architettonico, espone al suo interno opere di Klimt, Bellini, Lotto, Tintoretto, Canova, Caravaggio, Mantegna e tantissimi altri artisti italiani e non. Oltre ai dipinti sono presenti anche la collezione egizia orientale e la collezione delle antichità romane e greche.
I prezzi sono davvero ottimali per studenti e giovani. Una cosa che nessuno sa è che con il biglietto acquistato al museo è compreso nel prezzo quello del museo delle armature/sculture/strumenti musicali antichi nella zona di Hofburg, vicino alla Libreria Nazionale!
Museo dell'Albertina
Bellissimo museo al centro di Vienna super consigliato. Gli fu dato questo nome nel 1921 in onore dell'arciduca Alberto di Sassonia la cui statua si trova nella piazza antistante, genero di Maria Teresa, fondatore della collezione e grande appassionato di cultura. Al suo interno vi si trovano opere di Picasso, Monet, Degas, Cesanne, Matisse e tante altre meraviglie. Molto bella e interessante anche la mostra fotografica al piano terra. Costo biglietto €.12,00; chiude alle ore 18.00 e il mercoledì alle ore 21,00. A coronamento della collezione consiglio di visitare il museo situato negli spazi espositivi del Belvedere!
Il Prater
E va bene, dopo tutte le visite ai musei e ai monumenti della città un bel giretto al Prater di Vienna non si nega a nessuno! Il famoso parco nel centro della città tanto caro ai viennesi che affollano i suoi prati e i suoi viali alberati disseminati di caffè, ristoranti e chioschi è considerato uno dei dieci parchi cittadini più belli del mondo.
Un tempo riserva di caccia imperiale, oggi il cosiddetto “Prater verde” è il luogo ideale per passaeggiare, fare jogging, andare in bici o girarlo in lungo e in largo con il piccolo trenino Liliputbahn. La parte iniziale è occupata dal Volksprater anche detto “Würstelprater”(dal nome di una popolare maschera viennese), il grande parco dei divertimenti con oltre 250 attrazioni (si va dalle nostalgiche montagne russe all’ultamoderno simulatore di volo passando per il trenino dell’orrore, l’ottovolante coperto, l’intramontabile teatrino delle marionette, e persino un museo delle cere), sulle quali “svetta” la celebre Riesenrad, la ruota panoramica, inaugurata nel 1897 (e risistemata nel 2008) e divenuta uno dei simboli di Vienna, la quale permette di godere di una bella vista sulla città da un’altezza di quasi 65 metri. Non si può dire di essere stati a Vienna se non si sale sulla Grande Ruota! Vicino alla ruota si trova il Planetarium che grazie allo speciale proiettore a raggi laser, concede a grandi e bambini fantastici viaggi nel cielo stellato.
Il mondo di Hundertwasser
I lavori di costruzione sono iniziati nell' agosto del 1983 e terminati nell'ottobre del 1985, progettata dall' architetto Hundertwasser. E' facilmente raggiungibile dal centro, fermata metro Schwedenplatz, da li tram 1 direzione Prater, fermata Hetztgasse.
Consiglio di vederla perchè è molto particolare. Colpisce la presenza di colori, pezzi di mosaico e vetri sparsi quà e là. Sul tetto si possono vedere le cosidette cupole a cipolla.
Un' altra caratteristica di questa casa è la presenza di alberi posti sul balcone e tetti. Al di fuori di essa si può notare una cabina inglese. Un' altra caratteristica è l'ondulazione del pavimento. Nello stesso stile troverete anche l 'inceneritore di Spittelau. Si dice che lo stile di Hundertwasser ricorda un pò Gaudi. Vi consiglio di calcolare che per la visita sono sufficienti giusto dieci minuti. In quanto l' edificio è abitato e non si può per tal motivo visitare gli interni.
