Plitvice National Park

The most beautiful natural park in Croatia from dozens of blue lakes, forests, caves and waterfalls: a must! If you love nature this is the place for you! 
Magnificent hills covered with forests and interspersed with charming blue lakes connected by spectacular waterfalls, declared Unesco Heritage for their incredible beauty.
It will open in front of a dreamlike landscape where you can immerse yourself using the wooden walkways that follow the profile of lakes and streams walking right over, under and through the rugged mass of water along a spectacular route along less than 18 km, also walkable in bici. This incredible reservoir is
divided into two zones, an upper, with Dolomite lakes connected by imposing immense waterfalls and surrounded by dense forests and a lower, with smaller bodies of water and shallower. All lakes are divided by rock barriers that are covered with mosses and algae which in turn absorb the calcium bicarbonate water s'incrostandosi and forming travertine walls that create the falls. 
This process is constantly evolving and changing and creates different combinations over time even the landscape. Even the color of the lakes is absolutely amazing: the dream-blue shades constantly changes depending not only in daylight but also to the amount of minerals and organisms in the water. All this is enhanced by a magnificent vegetation, dense and characterized by endless green tones: white pine, spruce, hornbeam, rowan and ash trees in autumn offer an explosion of colors!

What to see


Lake Kozjak is the largest area of ​​the park where you can also rent paddle boats for a romantic excursion and reach the islet in the middle of the lake. Do not miss the path, past the eastern side will take you to the lower lakes, surrounded by forests, waterfalls and caves.
Lake Milanovac has a wonderful green hue and precedes the Lake Gavanovac hiding Supljara cave. Along the romantic footbridge that crosses the body of water will arrive at Lake Kaluderovac and two impressive waterfalls: the waterfall Veliki Slap is a good 78 meters high, the largest in Croatia!
In the reeds surrounding Lake Gradinsko nesting ducks and some waterfalls connecting it to Lake Galovac as a prelude to a series of lakes and waterfalls. Continuing we meet the Okrugljak Lake, Lake and Lake Ciginovac Proscansko nestled in the woods.
Besides being a paradise of plants and lakes you can spot many animals: wolves, deer, wild boars, hares, foxes, badgers, bears, hawks, owls, herons and storks!
