Amsterdam and the North Sea

Me and my girlfriend started this journey from the North Sea, from Zandvoort, a town which is about 30 kilometers from Amsterdam. We decided to make the first stop here as we were very intrigued by the North Sea. Having traveled with the car we saw some also other Dutch cities, like Haarlem, which we really deserves to visite.
It 's amazing the order and cleanliness that reigns in this country. Returning to Zandvoort we stopped all morning to see its long beach (9 kilometers). What about, certainly will not be the caribbean but the North Sea still has its own charm. There were many people who went to horse and strolling on the beach. Truly a magnificent scenery. 

Another thing that we really liked were the various characteristic Bars and well-equipped beach. We were in the '' Ubuntu Strandbar " where we drank two good beers in a very cozy atmosphere and good music.

In the afternoon we headed to 'Hotel which is located in Zwanenburg, 12 kilometers away from Amsterdam. Here we spent the evening.


AMSTERDAM, THE VENICE OF THE NORTH.

The next day we took the train running from the station Zwanenburg to Amsterdam Central Station in 15 minutes. 
Once we arrived we were amazed of 'huge number of bicycles parked in front of the station.
It 's true that the Dutch love to ride a bike! We immediately headed to the most important square: "Dam Square", which hosts one of the most important monuments, the Royal Palace (Koninklijk Paleis) and other monuments and buildings of interest, such as the Nationaal Monument, the Nieuwe Kerk and the wax museum Madame Tussauds.

Afterwards we strolled a bit enjoying the many channels that offers this city (where you can do for small cruises), until you get to the Van Gogh museum. Council the audio guide that explains the details of the various paintings on display (even if you pay separately). With the booking of tickets online will also jumps the queue.
Recommended! Finally we headed to the Anne Frank House. It 'been very impressive, seemed to relive the moments of pain they experienced those poor families.



 Our tour of museums in Amsterdam ends here unfortunately, we would have liked to also visit the Museum of Science but, due to time we decided to take a trip to Vondelpark, the largest park in Amsterdam that I recommend see cycling.

           

Amsterdam e il Mare del Nord

Io e la mia ragazza abbiamo iniziato questo viaggio partendo dal mare del nord, ma più precisamente da Zandvoort,una cittadina che dista circa 30 kilometri da Amsterdam.  Abbiamo deciso di fare la prima tappa qui perchè eravamo molto incuriositi dal mare del nord. Avendo viaggiato con la macchina ci siamo visti un pò anche altre città olandesi di sfuggita,come Harleem,che secondo noi merita davvero di essere vista.
E' incredibile l'ordine e la pulizia che regna in questo paese. Ritornando a Zandvoort ci siamo fermati tutta la mattinata a vedere la sua lunga spiaggia (ben 9 kilometri). Che dire, di certo non saranno i caraibi ma il Mare del nord ha comunque un suo fascino . C'erano molte persone che andavano a cavallo e che passeggiavano in spiaggia. Davvero un magnifico scenario. 

Altra cosa che abbiamo apprezzato molto sono stati i diversi bar caratteristici e ben attrezzati sulla spiaggia.
Noi siamo stati all' "Ubuntu Strandbar" dove abbiamo assaporato due buone birre in un atmosfera molto accogliente e con buona musica.

Nel pomeriggio ci siamo diretti all' Hotel che si trova a Zwanenburg, a 12 kilometri di distanza da Amsterdam. Qui abbiamo passato la serata.


AMSTERDAM, LA VENEZIA DEL NORD.

Il giorno dopo abbiamo preso il treno che va dalla stazione di Zwanenburg alla stazione centrale di
Amsterdam, impiegandoci circa un quarto d'ora. Una volta arrivati siamo rimasti stupiti dell' enorme numero di biciclette parcheggiate davanti la stazione. E' proprio vero che gli olandesi amano andare in bici! Ci siamo subito diretti verso quella che è la sua piazza principale: Piazza Dam, che ospita uno dei monumenti più importanti della città, il Palazzo Reale (Koninklijk Paleis) oltre ad altri monumenti ed edifici d'interesse, quali il Nationaal Monument, la Nieuwe Kerk e il  museo delle cere Madame Tussauds.

Successivamente abbiamo passeggiato un pò godendoci i numerosi canali che offre questa città (dove tra l'altro si posso fare delle piccole crociere), fino ad arrivare al museo di Van Gogh. Consiglio la giuda audio che spiega i particolari dei diversi dipinti esposti (anche se si paga a parte). Con la prenotazione dei biglietti on-line si salta anche la coda. Consigliato! Infine ci siamo diretti alla casa di Anna Frank. E' stato molto suggestivo, sembrava di rivivere i momenti di dolore che hanno vissuto quelle povere famiglie. 



Il nostro giro di musei di Amsterdam finisce purtroppo qui, ci sarebbe piaciuto visitare anche il Museo della Scienza di cui abbiamo sentito parlare molto bene, ma, per motivi di tempo abbiamo preferito fare un giro al Vondelpark, il parco più grande di Amsterdam che consiglio di vedere in bicicletta.
